Abstract

Pregnancy will occur in various changes to the mother, both physiologically and psychologically. Most of these changes are due to the influence of hormones. The effect of hormonal changes that take place during pregnancy also plays a role in emotional changes, making feelings become erratic, concentration decreases and often dizzy. This causes the mother to feel uncomfortable during pregnancy and trigger stress. Research Purpose: to find out the description of the level of knowledge of pregnant women about psychological changes in pregnancy at BPM Fauziah Hatta Palembang. Research Methode: This study is a descriptive study that aims to determine the description of the level of knowledge of pregnant women about psychological changes in pregnancy. The population in this study were all pregnant women who underwent antenatal care at BPM Fauziah Hatta Palembang. The sample in this study was all pregnant women who came to have a pregnancy check up at the Fauziah Hatta independent practice midwife (BPM), which was 32 people. Research Results: Univariate results obtained Education frequency distribution 68.8% of pregnant women with high school education, frequency distribution Parity 87.5% of pregnant women have more than three children or also called grandemultipara, frequency distribution of knowledge of pregnant women in the first trimester 59.3% mothers have low knowledge, frequency distribution of knowledge of pregnant women in the second trimestes 53.1% are knowledgeable, frequency distribution of knowledge of pregnant women in the third trimester is 53.1% low knowledgeable. Suggestion: health workers are expected to provide counseling or lefleat to pregnant women in order to add insight or knowledge of pregnant women during pregnancy.
