HUBUNGAN ANTARA PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIS DENGAN KEIKUTSERTAAN SISWA DALAM ORGANISASI DI SMA NEGERI KECAMATAN LAWANG KIDUL

Students as subjects who study at school will never be separated from learning activities and must do study assignments. One of the criteria for successful students is students who have academic achievement. Suparno said that there were several factors that led to the failure to achieve learning achievement, one of which was the inability to regulate non-academic assignments so that it consumed learning time which would ultimately disrupt discipline in completing academic tasks. The behavior of delaying doing and completing something is called procrastination.
This study aims to find out the relationship between academic procrastination and student participation in public high school organizations in Lawang Kidul sub-district. Hypothesis testing is done by spreading questionnaires as many as 90 respondents. The analysis used is with the help of SPSS version 17 computer program using Chi-Square test analysis.
The results of the analysis between the variable Procrastination and Participation of students in the School Organization were obtained by the value of p = 0.032 where p <0.05. This means that there is a very significant relationship between Procrastination and Participation of students in School Organizations in Public High Schools in Lawang Ada District as many as 89 students of Public High Schools in Lawang Kidul Subdistrict made as research subjects, there were 42 students or 47% who experienced low Procrastination and 47 students 53% of students who experience high procrastination. So it can be concluded that the average student of State High Schools in Lawang Kidul Subdistrict carries out High Procrastination. There were 41 students or 46% who followed the organization and 48 students or 54% of students who did not follow the organization. So it can be concluded that the average of state high school students in Lawang Kidul District does not follow the organization.
